Watauga Democrat
The Watauga Enterprise was established in Boone, NC by the local Democratic party to provide political commentary on the upcoming fall 1888 election. After the election, the newspaper folded, but was reestablished as the Watauga Democrat in 1889. Its purpose was, and continues to be, to provide the highest quality and most timely local, state and national news coverage to Watauga County, NC. The physical copies are not held by the Special Collections Research Center.
